Refund Policy

We want every family to love their book. If something isn't right, talk to us — we're reasonable, and we're here to help.

1. Merchant of Record

Purchases on MagicBooks are sold through our reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. Refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy back to your original payment method. This policy describes when and how we grant them.

2. Digital custom books

Because custom books are personalized and made to order, they are generally non-refundable once the final book has been generated and delivered. However, we will gladly help if something has gone wrong:

  • Free cover previews let you check your hero before you buy — please use them.
  • If your delivered book has a technical defect (corrupted file, missing pages, wrong order), we will fix it or re-deliver it at no charge.
  • If there is a genuine mistake on our side (for example the wrong details were used despite being entered correctly), we will correct the book or offer a refund.

3. Library (ready-made) books

Digital library books are delivered instantly and are non-refundable once downloaded, except where the file is faulty or the wrong item was delivered. If you bought a book you cannot open or access, contact us and we'll make it right.

4. Subscriptions

  • You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not generally refund the current period once new content for it has been delivered, but if you were charged in error or never received your books, we'll refund or credit you.
  • If you cancel, you keep access to the books already delivered to you.

5. Print editions

Printed books are produced individually. If your print arrives damaged, defective or misprinted, send us a photo within 14 days of delivery and we will arrange a reprint or refund. We can't refund print orders for buyer's remorse once production has begun, or for errors in details you supplied.

6. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] with your order number and a short description of the problem (a screenshot or photo helps). We aim to respond within 2–3 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

7. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your country. Where the law grants you a stronger remedy than this policy, that law applies.
